The spell, Test of Faith works similar to Gaia's revenge but with more complexity.

  • Effectiveness of the spell is based largely on the align difference between you and your target. Does not mean it won't work on same alignment, but will improve significantly the wider the difference.
  • Primary stats are int and con, plus luck has a smaller affect on the damage.
  • If you are good align, damage is random between light and holy and the white moon being up will make the spell more powerful.
  • If you are evil align, damage is random between shadow and harm and the black moon being up will make the spell more powerful.
  • If you are neutral, damage is random between light and shadow and the grey moon in the sky will make the spell more powerful. Keep in mind with neutral you can never get the full benefit of the spell as align difference can never be more than 1000, but you DO get the reduced benefit on a wider range of mobs.
  • Recovery time is also affected by int and con. At 600/600 the spell can be up 100% of the time.

    And in other minor fixes...

  • Rebuilding for tier 9s that have gone around and hit level 201 has been fixed. When your stats are restored to what they were at the point of retiering, so are your trained/practiced and gained values which are used by rebuild. For people already redoing T9, please don't rebuild/ retier until I fix your stats. Will need to catch up with each of you online.
  • New command 'recovery' shows only recovery affects on your character. The command 'recovieres' also works.
  • Burnt Marbu wasn't improving. Now fixed.
  • Vengeance now does light damage. Neural overload now does mental damage.
  • Lag on refresh and rejuvenate have been lowered a little, now the same as 'heal'.
  • Made assassinate easier to land on mobs around your own gq/quest and campaign levels. Once you get above 10 levels difference it gets harder, but still easier then before this reboot. You will also have a much higher chance of landing if the target can't see you.
  • Fixed some color bleeds in damage output on some of the lower level damage verbs.
  • Higher Dex and Luck will now reduce the recovery time on assassinate.
  • The 'bonus rebuild' code that was added a couple of reboots ago was not fully working, so it has been reset - everyone now has another rebuild and you will see this when doing a 'rebuild check'. Remember that is is removed when you tier/remort.
  • There is a new help function. Typing 'help search ' will display any helpfiles containing . Thank Xantcha for coding this one.
  • Fixed a color bleed bug in descriptions when someone had a color code on a description line.
  • Dodge is now level 1 for all classes.
  • Counter strike is now based on a successful dodge, not a successful parry. Primary class warrior has parry checked before dodge making dodge the second dodge checked for all classes.
  • The variable %N can now be used in prompt as percentage of moves remaining.
  • When you type 'rebuild check', if you have tier hp/mana/moves saved, or are a t9 redoing the tier, a new section will show you saved stats
